Role: Experience Designer (UI Artist)

EA Sports WRC, the officially licensed FIA World Rally Championship game, is a high-octane sim racer that allows you to race around various stages worldwide and compete to become the best rally driver. 

At Codemasters and EA Sports, I had a fantastic opportunity to work as an Experience Designer (UI Artist) on EA Sports WRC from pre-production to development. This is my first AAA game project that I worked on as a UI Artist and my first credited game.

My role included:

  • Creating and designing UI screens from grey box to final art.

  • Designing iconography.

  • Creating motion graphic animations.

  • Making game ready assets

  • Implementing screens into Unreal Engine 4. 


I joined the project at its inception, working on the pre-production phase and continuing through the game’s development into its final stages. While the project was challenging, it pushed my UI and Unreal skills to greater heights, along with learning to work with brands, which is a unique challenge as you want to represent the license in the best possible light. I am incredibly proud of what the team and I have achieved while on the project, and I think we created a suite of UI screens that live up to the historic brand of WRC.
